Everything you need to get connected, request movies and shows, and fix the little stuff yourself. Start at the top if you're new.
There are two ways in. Most people set up both: the direct connection when you're home, and the remote connection when you're out.
https:// at the front. Leaving it off is the most common reason a connection fails.Want something that isn't on Emby yet? Ask for it at requests.ruckushub.com — open from any US connection.
Search for what you want. If it's not on Emby yet, it shows up in the Discover tab as requestable. If it's already here, the search shows it as available to watch instead. You can also report a problem with something from this site.
iPhone (Safari): open requests.ruckushub.com, then tap Share → More Options → Add to Home Screen → Open as Web App.
Android (Chrome): open the site, tap the ⋮ menu in the top right, then tap Add to Home screen and confirm.
Before asking if something's wrong, check status.ruckushub.com. Both Emby connections are monitored around the clock and updated every minute.
Worth doing once. Open settings by tapping your user icon in the top-right corner and choosing Settings.
In Display settings, pick a theme — Blue Radiance is a good one — and turn on backdrops for the full-art background. Poke around the rest while you're there; it's all yours to adjust.
While something's playing, open the settings wheel to adjust the bitrate — turn it down if you're buffering, up if you want maximum quality.
Most hiccups have a fast fix. Try these before reaching out.
Back out of what you're watching and resume it. That one move clears most odd issues — no video, won't load after a pause, subtitles not showing after you picked them, and similar. Try this first.
Go to your account settings and change the audio output to Stereo. This fixes the "everything but the talking" problem, which comes from surround audio not mapping to your speakers.
While playing, open the settings wheel and lower the bitrate. A lower bitrate needs less bandwidth, which smooths out buffering. Bump it back up later if your connection can handle it.
After you've selected a subtitle file, you can offset it by milliseconds in the subtitle settings to line it up with the audio.
First, check the host was typed exactly right — with https:// at the front and the correct port. Then check the status page to see if the server's actually up. If it's the direct connection failing while status shows online, see the note in the Server status section about sending me your home IP.
If the page didn't sort it out, reach out to me directly and I'll help you get it working.
